Hello, my name is Michael Hansknecht. In quake I go by Sandman (changed names from deadication which I used when the game came out) and I'm part of Team upRising.
I've been playing games for about 13 years now, I play at a competitive level in many games not just Quake or even FPS for that matter.. but Quake is my game of choice.
My quake accomplishments are:
Quake 4:
2006
NetHeads Indianapolis - 3rd
NetHeads CSA Indy Local - 1st
CSA Grand Finals - 5th
Intel Summer Championship '06 | (33-64)
And recently I joined in on a q4roit lan in Ohio that had a competition setup and won that as well.
I have been playing just to keep in shape the last few months, however with a sponsorship I believe I could push my skills further. Due to the nature of my job, I have more free time than your average player to practice up and I plan on using it wisely if I'm chosen.
I will find two demos and post them soon, I recently deleted quite a few of mine so I might have to play today to get you some footage ;)
You can also see some of my highlights in Vitality (Frag movie by Killat0n) and if he gets moving on it *cough cough* Team upRising is creating a frag highlight movie with footage of just us in our practice games and some CTF and public games we've played.

have since the game came out, we're teammates.
You mean doesn't killat0n play with ME? ;) j/k haha.
He doesn't play publicly anymore though, just duels us and plays CTF when we can get one going. |
